Richard Paley

President / Partner

Mr. Paley, President of Paley Dixon, is an M&A executive and real estate principal with forty years of experience. Richard founded Paley Dixon in 1979, and has grown the firm to its current position as a respected buy-side intermediary for top-tier private equity groups, manufacturers and service companies.  He has held senior-level management positions with Building and Land Technology Corporation and Palinger Corporation.  Richard has served on the boards of the Harlem Youth/Act Organization, the Washington Heights/Inwood Development Association, and the Westchester County Preservation Society.  Richard majored in Management Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Sarah Cooke

Senior Vice President / Partner

Ms. Cooke, Senior Vice President of Research, is an entrepreneur and computer industry executive with twenty years of experience in technology consulting and research.  She joined Paley Dixon in 1996 as a Research Associate.  In 1984, Sarah founded Gulf Business Systems, the computer consulting company.  The firm provided enterprise-wide accounting systems and custom application software to the nuclear power industry.  Sarah subsequently sold her company, continuing to work as an independent software consultant.  Sarah majored in Business Administration at the University of New Orleans and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Tulane University.


Robert Caines

Senior Vice President / Partner

Mr. Caines, Senior Vice President of Business Development, is an entrepreneur and M&A executive with fifteen years of business development and management experience.  He joined Paley Dixon in 2002. In 1992, Bob and partners founded Cable Channels, the cable television program guide software firm.  Bob has also held senior-level sales management positions with ADP and Hummingbird.  Bob sits on the Board of Directors of Audubon Beckwith and has served on the boards of the Ali Forney Center and the Peccadillo Theater Company.  Bob majored in Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
